Welcome to Year 2

There are three classes in Year 2, all with a teacher and a full time Learning Support Assistant. The class teacher is responsible for pastoral care and the teaching of English, mathematics, science, history, geography and PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education).

The children are taught art, design technology, ICT, music and physical education by subject specialists. Arabic and Islamic Studies are taught to our Arabic speaking and Muslim children in Year 2.

Timetables are issued to all parents at the start of each academic year. In Year 2 the children are set weekly maths and English homework, a maximum of 30 minutes each. Parents are also encouraged to read with their children on daily basis.
